Queensland Vintage Aeroplane Group: The museum wing of QVAG, the Australian Flying Museum (AFM) resulted from a meeting held in the mid 1980's. It was recognised that there was a large group of vintage aircraft enthusiasts who would never own their own vintage aircraft. It was also recognised that a very large aircraft was unlikely to be restored by a private individual, but was possible to be preserved. by a museum body.
